Vocada Expands its Product Features Via Partnerships
Vocada Inc recently announced strategic alliances with both Agfa HealthCare and Nuance Communications Inc that will integrate Vocada's Verify critical test result management (CTRM) system with solutions available from the other vendors.
By incorporating Vocada's Veriphy with Agfa's solutions will provide radiologists with a user-friendly interface for PACS, as well as reporting and communicating critical patient findings by eliminating delays in communication of critical test results.
Agfa's open systems architecture makes it possible for its technology to work in coordination with companies like Vocada to deliver more comprehensive solutions, resulting in better patient care, according to the company.
Per the arrangement with Nuance, Vocada's Veriphy will become a component in the Dictaphone PowerScribe dashboard, and the two systems will share the same physician directories and database. This will allow clinicians to create a voice message directly within PowerScribe. The message can then be passed to the Veriphy system automatically. Instant notifications are then sent to the ordering clinician via pager, cell phone, fax, and/or e-mail.
The integration between the two solutions underscores the broad adoption of speech technologies to increase productivity and improve patient care and safety, according to Nuance.
